Our History
High Rock Church started in the summer of 2008 after a team of people relocated from Vine Community Church in Carbondale, IL to obey God's calling to start a new church in Bloomington. Scott Joseph, who was a pastor at Vine, initially felt God asking him to plant High Rock in 2007. In November of that year, the plans for starting the church were announced at Vine, and 25 people felt God asking them to be a part of it. Since then, High Rock has started to gain momentum, with services at the Bloomington Convention Center and several Small Groups meeting in people's homes. We are still in the early stages, but we are excited about what God will do in the coming years.
