Students @ High Rock

Casual. Relevant. Real.
We love students! Whether you are just investigating who Jesus is, or are currently a follower of Jesus, we are here for you. From the time High Rock started in the Fall of 2008 we have had a focus on reaching the student population in Bloomington. We desire to see students get "plugged in" to a local church that knows them and allows them to grow into everything that Jesus wants them to be. College can be busy, but God often uses that time to build students into the people they will be for the rest of their life. Many students have found the music, casual atmosphere, relevant teaching, and authentic friendships to be among their best experiences while in Bloomington.
How students connect at High Rock:
- Small groups - Be known! We offer small groups on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights that are great for undergrad and grad students. This is the best way to get to know fellow students and interact with the Bible and how it impacts our lives. Check out our small group page here.
- Serving - Get involved! From office help during the week, to playing on our worship team Sunday morning, we are always looking for students to help keep High Rock running. Contact Tim Reeves at to talk about what service team might fit you best. We encourage all those who serve at High Rock to attend Team High Rock. This is a gathering for encouraging, spiritually equipping, and gaining vision for serving Jesus.
- Membership - Being a student doesn't keep you from being a committed part of High Rock. We offer membership classes we call the High Rock Series. We love to have students become members of High Rock. Listen for the next classes announced Sunday morning, and stay tuned to the website and Facebook page for updates. Some students ask if prior church membership at their church from home conflicts with being a member at High Rock. Absolutely not! We understand that college can bring people from all over the country, but as most students spend the majority of their year in Bloomington, it is really important to find a church to be involved with during that time.
Rides
Getting around Bloomington can be a hassle without wheels, and even then parking can be a headache. We've got you covered! E-mail us at and we'll take care of the rest. We'll have another student arrange to pick you up.
