Membership

What is Membership?

Membership is for those who have found High Rock to be their church home.  Our members believe that God has called them to share in the mission of making authentic disciples for Jesus in the Bloomington area.  The purpose of membership is to help us know who we can depend on and to help you grow spiritually through commitment and accountability.

How Do I Become a Member?

After completing the High Rock Series, you can fill out a Membership Form (included with the manual at each session in the series) that you turn in to the office or drop into the offering basket on Sunday.  You'll be contacted to see if you have any questions and then approved for membership.  We ask our members to commit to the main things expected of all disciples in the Bible — Community, Serving and Giving.

All of our members affirm the following commitments:

  1. Remain faithful to High Rock’s Statement of Faith, the historic Christian creeds.
  2. Attend Sunday Service and a Small Group consistently.
  3. Serve others in at least one area at High Rock Church.
  4. Tithe consistently and give generous offerings to support our mission.
  5. Follow the leadership of the Pastors and Board under the provisions of our by-laws.
