What to Expect
At High Rock, we want to worship God together in a way that is casual, relevant, and real. Each week our services start at 11 a.m. and end around 12:15. Here's what you can expect to happen each Sunday:
Before the Service
When you walk into our services, you'll probably see people hanging out, sipping coffee, and eating doughnuts. Feel free to do the same. You can also bring the coffee and food into the service. The time before the service is also a great chance for you to meet people or just sit down, browse through your program, and relax.
Kids Program
We begin welcoming children, infants through 5th grade, into our Kids’ Program at 10:45 a.m. You may register your child at the Kids’
Teaching
We believe the Bible is God's perfect and true words written down for us to apply to every part of life. Many people who haven't read it much think it is difficult to understand, but actually, it's pretty clear and practical. And since the entire Bible revolves around Jesus and what He did for us on the cross, that's what we teach. So during each service, you'll hear plainly about who Jesus is and what He's done, so you can grow closer to Him and be changed by Him.
Offering
Jesus made it very clear that Christians give their best to God in every area of life, including financially. Tithing (giving a tenth of one's income) is more than supporting your church's mission - it is a vital act of worship to God. However, if you are new to High Rock, visiting, or not a Christian, please do not feel obligated to give as the offering baskets pass by you.
Worship
After the teaching and offering, our band leads us in singing songs to God for 20-25 minutes. This isn't just singing about God, but it's doing what He created us for - honoring and loving Him. We want to worship in a manner that's real, and for us, that means low-key, non-hype, heartfelt response to the Living God.
Prayer
At the end of each service, those who want to receive prayer are invited forward during one last song. The people on our prayer team are trained to gently and respectfully pray for you. We believe that God is real and that He wants to help all of us with our problems. No one will pressure you to go forward to receive prayer, and if you don't want prayer you can just stay at your seat.
